Test Result Analysis

Agilent 93000 SOC Series User Training Part 1, October 2004

The 8K memory is a part of the sequencer memory and can only be 

used to save the data of the Detailed Error Map. The data within the 

Detailed Error Map is displayed in the Overview Folder as normal cells. 

The cells which are not included in the Detailed Error Map are 

decreased in size.

The Detailed Error Map gives you an individual pass/fail result for each 

cycle in an 8K (8192) section of your test. The data within the Detailed 

Error Map is displayed as a matrix of cells. 

Each horizontal row within this matrix represents for example 32 
cycles with one cycle per cell in the Cycles Folder. 

The number of cycles per row in the matrix depends on the settings 
which you made as a subsetting of

Failure Oriented Detailed Error Map

To activate the Failure Oriented Detailed Error Map, select 

Result - 

Acquisition Mode - Force Failure Oriented

.

The Failure Oriented Detailed Error Map allows you to gather failures 

and save them in the 8K memory of the Error Map. The area of focus 

(enlarged cells) in the Force Failure Oriented Mode can cover several 

cells as in contrast to the Force Cycle Oriented Mode only failure and 

no pass information is stored in the 8K memory.

The Failure Oriented Detailed Error Map can be used with and without 

the Fine Result Granularity (see below). 

Fine Result Granularity

To select Fine Result Granularity, select 

Result - Fine Result Granu-

larity

, so that the 

Fine Result Granularity

 submenu is checked.

Fine Result Granularity can be used in Force Failure Orientated mode, 

or (if Fine Result Granularity has been defined in a test suite) in Follow 

Current mode.

Fine Result Granularity enables you to obtain a result per edge. Results 

without Fine Result Granularity, shown in the Error Map, are results 

per cycle.

If the Failure Oriented Detailed Error Map uses Fine Result Granu-

larity, the Edges Folder can be used to analyze the failures per edge. If 

the Failure Oriented Detailed Error Map does not use Fine Result 

Granularity, the test execution will be faster, but the Edges Folder 

cannot be used for detailed failure analysis.
