Agilent 86038B Photonic Dispersion and Loss Analyzer, Second Edition

99

Preset Display Properties

Resets all the settings contained in the Display menu to their

default values. It differs from a normal preset in that
measurement settings and trace data are preserved.

Select TLS

Selects the TLS for measurement, if more than one are attached

to the GPIB. Selecting "Wait for first TLS only" allows the
initialization procedure to complete after one TLS is recognized,
to avoid waiting for the other TLS modules to boot.

Wavelength Meter

Uses the 86122A multi-wavelength meter to determine a
wavelength offset correction for the TLS during the
Normalization process. To use this function, the Low SSE output

of the TLS must be connected to the 86122A during
normalization. The wavelength meter is used only during
normalization and not before or during actual measurements.

Status Log

Opens the Status Log window and displays a history of all
instrument errors and messages with the time the event
occurred. The Status Log window often shows additional

explanation details for messages and warnings that appear in
the User Interface window.

Clear

removes the messages from the status log.

Close

closes the Status Log window.

Export Status Log opens the Export window to save the status

log.
