Setting up the 2100 Bioanalyzer Instrument
To set-up the 2100 Bioanalyzer instrument:
1 Locate bench space that meets the requirements described in “Bench
space” on page 67.

Place the instrument on the bench in an upright position.

Open the lid of the 2100 Bioanalyzer instrument and slide the electrode
cartridge into the lid and move the lever into a flat (closed) position.
C A U T I O N
Damage by electrostatic discharge
The heater plate and electrodes are sensitive to electrostatic discharge.
➔
Make sure that you are grounded before inserting a chip to prevent the instrument
from being damaged by electrostatic discharge. The lid is grounded to leak off
electrostatic energy of the operator.
