Adapter
combination
The figure below shows the allowed adapter and probe combinations. There are two
specific combinations that should not be used.
• Do not attach the ac adapter between an attenuator adapter and the probe.
An attenuator adapter must be terminated by the input resistance of the probe. The
ac adapter isolates the probe input resistance.
• Do not cascade two attenuator adapters.
The attenuator adapters are designed to be terminated by the 1 M
Ω
resistance of the
probe. The input resistance of the attenuator adapters is 9 M
Ω
for the 10:1 adapter
and 10 M
Ω
for the 100:1 adapter.
