4.24.8 Install the Pulley Guards

1. Attach the safety decals on and under the pulley guards (1, 2) (see

Figure 63

and

Figure 64

). See decal

location diagram in Safety chapter.

2. For each pulley guard, hold the guard over the belt and attach the hinge to the back plate using 7/16" x 1"

bolts (3) and 7/16" locknuts (4).

3. Attach the latch (5) to the s-drive side plate using 3/16" x 1/2" rivets (6).

4. Attach the latch (5) to the motor guard using 3/16" x 1/2" rivets (6).

5. Install the shaft guard (see

Section 4.30. – Install the Shaft Guard on page 120
