FIG. 23: Inspect the O-ring on the vent plug (1) and
replace the O-ring if necessary.
Install the vent plug.
Raise the header and engage the lift cylinder stops, if
equipped. Remove the block and the jackstand.
Make sure the drain plug and cap are tight. Check for
leaks.
Hay Conditioner Gearcase(s)
At the beginning of each season, change the oil in the hay
conditioner gearcase(s).

To change the oil in the hay conditioner gearcase, remove
the fill plug (1). Add 1 liter (1 pt) of lubricant through the fill
port. See Lubrication in the Specifications section for the
correct lubricant. Install the fill plug.
Operate the header for a few minutes to mix the lubricant.
Stop the engine and take the key with you.
Remove the lubricant level plug (2) and drain the excess
oil. Install the lubricant level plug.
Repeat the procedure one more time.

To change the oil in the hay conditioner gearcase, remove
the fill plug (1). Add 1 liter (1 pt) of lubricant through the fill
port. See Lubrication in the Specifications section for the
correct lubricant. Install the fill plug.
Operate the header for a few minutes to mix the lubricant.
Stop the engine and take the key with you.
Remove the lubricant level plug (2) and drain the excess
oil. Install the lubricant level plug.
Repeat the procedure one more time.
