4.4 Chain Lubrication System Maintenance

4.4.1 Check the Level in the Oil Container of the Chain Lubrication

Before starting the procedure

The chain lubrication system supplies oil from the container to the drive chains.

CAUTION: Damage to parts.

Damage to the lubrication pump and roller chains can occur when the system is in
operation without oil. Do not let the oil container fully empty.

CAUTION: Damage to parts.

Damage to the lubrication pump, roller chains and machine will occur when the system is
in operation with the incorrect oil flow. Do not change the flow rate of the lubrication
pump from that set in the factory. If adjustment is necessary, only a trained service
technician can make the change on the basis of the service information provided by the
manufacturer.

CAUTION: Environmental hazard.

Do not let oil leak.

Procedure

1.

Disengage the Power Take-Off (PTO) shaft, stop the tractor engine and remove the key.

2.

Measure the oil quantity in the oil reservoir

(2).

If necessary add oil to the oil container.

Procedure

1.

Disengage the Power Take-Off (PTO) shaft, stop the tractor engine and remove the key.

2.

Clean the adjacent area of the oil container (2), this prevents dirt in the container when you open it.
