Fold forward shearing head 14 , see Fig. 4.

Detach shearing head 14 .
¾
Clean open knife hinge with a brush.
¾
Install shearing head 14 on knife hinge.
¾
Plug in the power cord of clipping machine FAV5
Hybrid.
¾
Press ON/OFF switch 5 .
¾
Gently push shearing head 14 towards clipping
machine FAV5 Hybrid.
Shearing head 14 will audibly click into position.
¾
Check that shearing head 14 is correctly seated on
clipping machine FAV5 Hybrid.
4.5 Handling shearing heads

4.5.1 Sharpening the cutting plate
Note
For sharpening the cutting plate, please contact Tech-
nical Service, see Chapter Technical Service.
4.5.2 Lubricating the shearing head
¾
Clean upper cutting plate 11 and lower cutting
plate 12 with a soft wipe or brush. Make certain
that the gaps between the cutting teeth are
cleaned properly.
¾
Slightly lubricate upper cutting plate 11 and lower
cutting plate 12 with special lubricant for shearing
heads GT604.
4.5.3 Plug in the adapter with power supply

Hold clipping machine and press battery release
lock

¾
Pull out the adapter and power supply 16 from the
clipper.
¾
Push the adapter and power supply into the clipper,
all the way to the stop.
The clipper is ready for use.
