Cleaning the drain pump
Paper clips, nails and so on can sometimes get into the washing ma-
chine with the washing and remain in the drain pump casing. Fluff and
strands of fabric can gather on these items and block the drain pump.
Therefore the drain pump should be cleaned at least once a year.

Warning!
Switch off the washing machine and pull out the mains plug
before cleaning the drain pump!

First carry out emergency emptying (see section "Carrying out emer-
gency emptying").

Place a towel on the floor in front of the cover of the drain pump. Re-
sidual water can run out.
3.
Unscrew the drain pump cover anti-
clockwise and pull it out.

Remove any foreign objects, fluff and
strands of fabric from the drain pump.
5.
Check that you are able to turn the
pump wheel at the very rear of the
pump housing. (If the wheel rotates
with a jerky motion, this is normal.) If
you cannot turn the pump wheel, con-
tact customer service.
6.
Replace the cover. Insert the webs on
the cover laterally into the guide slots
and screw on the cover securely clock-
wise.
