SALT

4. Close the salt compartment and the

detergent dispenser.

Regularly check if there is

enough salt.

The compartment 

Salt

 can contain about

600 gr of salt that are sufficient for about

two months if the default water hardness

level (C04) is set and the water softener

is activated during wash phase only. A

different water hardness level or different

setting may increase or decrease the salt

consumption. Refer to 'How to set the

water hardness level' and 'How to set the

water softener also during rinse phase'.

The display shows the indicator   when

compartment 

Salt

 needs to be refilled with

salt, even if a little salt still remains.

any other detergent/additive

is poured inadvertently in

machine. The proper salt

can be ordered from the web

site!

Other types of salts are less

efficient and over time could

damage the water softener

technology permanently.

WARNING!

Do not use fine

salt!

The appliance works

exploiting its full potential

with salt. Salt refilling when

required by the appliance

maintains the softening

system efficient. If you use

the appliance without salt for

a long time, once the salt is

finally refilled, the water

softener function is

completely restored after a

few long washing cycles.

8.4 Water softener

regeneration

After a few cycles, the appliance may

need to regenerate the water softener.
The regeneration process is

automatically ensured when running

programmes such as Cottons and

Synthetics routinely, even if the

programme duration is reduced by taping

the Time Save button once.
