Chapter 2  Installation

USB connectors (CN4, CN5)

The PCM-5862E/5862EL board provides two USB (Universal
Serial Bus) interfaces which gives complete plug and play, hot
attach/detach for up to 127 external devices. The USB interfaces
comply with USB specification rev. 1.0 and are fuse protected.

The USB interfaces are accessed through two 4-pin flat-cable
connectors, CN4 and CN5. You will need an adapter cable if you
use a standard USB connector. The adapter cable has a 4-pin
connector on one end and an USB connector on the other.

The USB interfaces can be disabled in the system BIOS setup.
