Logs
4.3.7.1
Buffered Log
The log messages the device generates in response to events, faults, errors, and
configuration changes are stored locally on the device in the RAM (cache). This col-
lection of log files is called the RAM log or buffered log. When the buffered log file

Select the unit with the code image to activate, upgrade, delete, or
describe.
Active
The active code file version. Use the icons to the right of the field to
perform the file transfer.
To transfer a new code image to the device, click
button.
The Firmware Upgrade window opens. Click
Choose File
to
browse to the file to transfer. After you select the appropriate file,
click
Begin Transfer
to launch the HTTP transfer process. The
active image is overwritten by the file that you transfer.
Backup
The backup code file version. Use the icons to the right of the field to
perform the following tasks:
To transfer a new code image to the device, click
button.
The Firmware Upgrade window opens. Click
Choose File
to
browse to the file to transfer. After you select the appropriate file,
click
Begin Transfer
to launch the HTTP transfer process. If a
backup image already exists on the device, it is overwritten by
the file that you transfer.
To delete the backup image from permanent storage, click
button. You must confirm the action before the image is deleted.
Next Active
Select the image version to load the next time this unit reboots.
Image Description
Active Description
Specify a description to associate with the image that is currently the
active code file.
Backup Description
Specify a description to associate with the image that is currently the
backup code file.
Submit
Click
Submit
to save the values and update the screen.
Refresh
Click
Refresh
to update the screen.
Cancel
Click
Cancel
to restore default value.
