DHCP Server
The Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) is a network protocol enabling a
server to automatically assign an IP address to a computer from a defined range of
numbers configured for a given network.
4.9.5.1
Status Settings
The Status Settings page allows you to configure the DHCP server mode (enabled or
disabled).

The following table describes the items in the previous figure.

settings are informational only: DHCP

Enable

Disable
to designate the DHCP server function
type.
When a new DHCP server mode is selected, the switch requires a
system restart for the new mode to take effect.
Apply
Click
Apply
to save the values and update the screen.
Restart
Click
Restart
to have the switch perform a system restart function. In
the event that the IP settings are changed, the DHCP server must be
restarted for the IP settings to take effect.
