Interference Filter Set Replacement
BR2650
Reference: Use this instruction with replace-
ment kit BR2650.
Tools Needed: Flat-bladed screwdriver,
5/32” or 4 mm hex wrench,
1/16” or 1.5 mm hex wrench,
sensitive voltmeter

CAUTION:
Improper connections
may cause damage to the instrument.
NOTE
Interference filter replacement and
lamp adjustment are indicated every
two years as preventive maintenance,
or when recommended by your serv-
ice representative.
Instruction:
1. Turn off the power and unplug the instru-
ment.
2. Remove the four screws securing the
cover, and pull the cover straight up and
off.
3. Remove the large cap screw (A) from
each end of the filter block located in the
left front corner of the instrument base.
4. Lift the filter block enough for access to
the retaining screws holding the sensor
assemblies. Remove the two retaining
screws (B) holding the
front
(454) sensor
assembly.
5. Gently pull out the 454 sensor assembly
for access to the interference filter. Avoid
losing the O-ring.
NOTE
Some previous interference filters
had
two
O-rings. Use only
one
with
the BR2650 filters.
6. Tap the filter block as necessary to dis-
lodge and remove the 454-nm interfer-
ence filter, and replace it with the appro-
priate filter from the BR2650 filter kit.
