RECOVERY SYSTEM
VACUUM MOTOR CONTROL CIRCUIT OVERVIEW (AUTO MODE)
See Figure 2.
+ (Positive) Circuit input starts with:
A battery positive input to the K2 solenoid coil (BRN wire).

A closed S3 key switch to direct the needed positive voltage to terminal #J1-13 – B+1 on the A1 control board (BRN wire), and to PIN 5 – KSI (BRN wire) on

the A2 Speed Controller.
Note : The A1 control board scrub-on button must also be depressed (enabled). This operator command lowers the brush deck.
- (Negative) circuit input starts with:
A battery negative ground input at the A1 control board terminals B2 (J1-9) , B-3 (J2-9) and B-4 (J2-6) (BLK wires).

A negative voltage output from PIN #6 – BRAKE (-) on the A2 speed controller (RED/BLK wire) to terminal J1-5 – FOR/REV. on the A1 control board.

Note : The
A2 speed control BRAKE (-) output (PIN #6) occurs whenever the R1 direction throttle pot is moved off its neutral setting.
The recovery tank
fl oat switch (S4) open (current switch con fi guration) to allow negative voltage output from terminal J1-12 – VACUUM CONTACTOR (BLK/YEL

wire) on the A1 control board to complete the K2 solenoid coil circuit (positive and negative) and pull in the load contact to make the vacuum motor run.
Note: Earlier machines used a normally-closed recovery tank fl oat switch con fi guration. In these machines, the recovery tank fl oat switch (S4) must be closed
in order for the vacuum motor to run. Refer to Figure 3 for an illustration of the two fl oat switch con fi gurations.
