To configure SNMP:
1.
In Figure 3-24 above, check the box to enable the SNMP function. Input the IP address of the PC
than is running the software in the Trap address. You can use the default setup for the rest of the
items.

Compile the above mentioned two MIB file via the software MIB Builder.

Run MG-SOFT MIB Browser to load the file from the previous step to the software.
4.
Input the device IP you want to manage in the MG-SOFT MIB Browser. Set the corresponding
version for future reference.
5.
Open the tree list on the MG-SOFT MIB Browser to get the device configuration. Here you can see
how many video channels, audio channels and application versions the device has.
Note:
A port conflict occurs when the SNMP port and Trap port are the same.

Multicast Setup
Multicast is a transmission mode for data packets. Multicast sends IP datagrams to a group of receivers
in a single transmission. When there are multiple hosts to receive the same data packet, multicast is the
best option to reduce the bandwidth and the CPU load. The source host can send out just one data
packet. This function also depends on the relationship of the group member and the group.
