RS232
This dialog is for setting up your RS232 connections.

The dialog contains five items:
Function
There are various devices for you to select from the dropdown:
•
Console
(the default) is for use with the COM or software to upgrade or debug the program.
•
Keyboard
is for controlling the device via a special keyboard.
•
Adapter
(transparent COM) is for connecting to the PC to transfer data directly.
•
Protocol COM
is for the Text Overlay function.
•
Net Keyboard
is for using the network keyboard to control the device.
•
PTZ Matrix
for connecting to the peripheral matrix control.
Baud Rate
Select the proper baud rate from the dropdown. The default is 115200.
Data Bits
Select the proper data bit. The value ranges from 5 to 8. The default is 8.
Stop Bits
Select 1 or 2. The default is 1.
Parity
Select from five choices: None, Odd, Even, Mark or Null. The default is None.
After completing the setup, click the
Save
button. The system returns to the previous menu.
