Importing data from another
application

If you first save data files as text in other
applications, you can import the data
files into Adobe Illustrator. In the text
files, each cell must be separated by a
tab, and each row must be separated by
a carriage return.

You can also cut and paste data from
a spreadsheet application such as
Lotus

®

1-2-3 using the Cut and Paste

commands.

The data must not contain any commas;
otherwise, the data is not plotted. For
example, enter “732000” not “732,000”.

You can also subscribe to data that is
updated interactively, from the original
source,
