Defining Paragraph Formats

In the Paragraph Designer, display the Numbering properties.

Enter

(the uppercase letter

followed by a colon) in the Autonumber Format text

box. This is the series label you’ll use for items in a numbered list.

Select <n=1> in the Building Blocks scroll list. This building block, which will insert

the number 1 in the paragraph, appears in the text box.

Select \t in the scroll list to add a tab character to the autonumber format.

Click Update All. The autonumber appears at the beginning of the paragraph. The tab

character is represented by the tab symbol ( ).

Choose File > Save.
