How do you call up the Element Catalog?

Why does the Element Catalog display different elements at different times?

How can you display all the elements available in an entire document?

How can you create a customized set of elements for your document?

Answers

The three new buttons display are the Element Catalog, attributes, and Structure View.

Click on the button for Structure View on the sidebar of FrameMaker.

From View in the menu bar, two new additions are: Element Boundaries and Element

Boundaries (as Tags).

No, it moves in both views at the same time.

The (+) plus symbol shows you can expand an element.

Click on the (-) minus symbol to collapse elements.

Click on the sidebar button (at the top right) with square brackets.

Elements vary according to what structure is at the insertion point.

Click to bring up the Element Catalog, and choose Options at the bottom of the dialog

box. The Set Available Elements dialog box appears, and you can click the radio button
for “All Elements.”

From the Set Available Elements dialog box as in answer 9 above, click the radio

button for Customized List.
