MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS FOR
PART 18673-629 GL1800 CB ANTENNA
Rev 7-08
Note: Read instructions thoroughly before installing.
1. Place bike on center stand.
2. Remove the following per manual instructions.
a. Passenger Hand Rails
b.
Seat
2. Remove the left rear side pocket.
3. Open trunk and locate the two
“+”
marks on the inside left of the trunk. Drill a pilot hole at
each mark, then a 3/8” hole.
4. Make a third hole to be located between the two holes just made. Mark this hole and drill a
pilot hole, then a 3/8” hole.
5. Run the antenna wire through the center hole and mount the CB antenna to the trunk using the
ground strap. Hand tighten the two bolts on the inner left side of the trunk. Mount the large hole
in the ground strap to the flange bolt at the bottom of the trunk.

6. Run the antenna wire through the hole in the left pocket and connect to CB.

7. Attach the top to the antenna. Rotate the antenna so that when in fold down position, it faces
forward. Place antenna in down position and tighten the locknut.

8. Finish tightening ground strap.
9. Reassemble all parts removed.
