Installation

WARNING

We highly recommend to only use the low attenuation

RS-485 cables provided by Adcon with a total length of up to 90 m
because attempts to make extensions using other cables could
make your Wireless Modem inoperable, due to the voltage loss on
the additional cable length. Also, damage to the Modem could
result from inappropriate cable impedance.

Installing the indoor unit

The indoor unit is the Telemetry Gateway A850. Connect the
cables to the Gateway as shown in Figure 5.

If you are using a hub or switch to connect several computers in a
local area network (LAN), use the twisted-pair Ethernet cable that
Adcon provides to connect the Gateway to the hub. If your com-
puter is a standalone PC and is not part of a LAN, you can connect
it directly to the Gateway, as shown in Figure 5, but you will need
