TQ8215 Compatibility
By using "TQ8215 compatible mode", this instrument and the existing model TQ8215 are compatible in
the GPIB remote level.
CAUTION:
1.
The TQ8215 compatible mode is a function to use user programs, which are used in the TQ8215, in this
instrument with minimum modification. However, not complete compatibility is guaranteed because of the
differences such as the function and command processing time between both instruments.
Using the normal mode is recommended because of the function restriction such as status.
2.
The calibration can be performed in the TQ8215 compatible mode, but the calibration method is not compat-
ible.
1. How to set the TQ8215 compatible mode
•
Setting the TQ8215 compatible mode
Turn on the power while pressing the
[NEXT]
key. After all displays are lit, "MODE 8215" is
displayed to the right of the display and the TQ8215 compatible mode is set.
"*" is displayed to the lower right of the display while the TQ8215 compatible mode is set.
•

"*", which is displayed to the lower right of the display, turns off when the TQ8215 compatible
mode is canceled.
CAUTION:
1.
If once the TQ8215 compatible mode is set, it is automatically set from the next time when the power is turned
on.
2.
By setting or canceling the TQ8215 compatible mode, all parameters, which exclude the remote interface,
GPIB address, USB.ID, key lock, header output, and parameters loaded when the power is turned on, are ini-
tialized.
3.
If the TQ8215 compatible mode is set, the number of display digits are set to 4 1/2. The number of display
digits can be set to 5 1/2 after that.
