1.9

Checking Operations

After checking the standard accessories, check the operation according to the following procedure.

1. Refer to 1.7, “Power Supply” in this manual and connect the power cable.

2. Connect the sensor to the INPUT connector of this instrument.

3. Press the

[POWER]

switch to turn on the power.

4. All of the display are lit.

5. The product name (8250A) is displayed in the measurement value display area,

the software revision is displayed in the wavelength display area, and the con-

nected sensor type (for example: “2314B” when 82314B is connected.) is dis-

played in the measurement unit display area.

A bar mark is displayed when no sensor is connected.

6. The interface type (USB or GPIB) is displayed in the wavelength display area

and the interface settings (Header ON/OFF and MyID for USB, Header ON/OFF,

Addressable/Talk Only, and the GPIB address for GPIB) are displayed in the

measurement unit display area.

7. The error message “Err 2” is displayed when no sensor is connected.

8. Input the light to the sensor and check the response.
