Calibration Procedure
This section describes the calibration procedure.
1. This instrument enters the calibration mode when the CAL1 command is trans-
mitted.
2. In reference to Section 7.3, “How to Connect Instruments”, connect the instru-
ments.
3. Perform the IV offset calibration and then the current measurement calibration
according to the calibration flow shown in Figure 7-3.
4. Save the calibration data by transmitting the XWR command.: XWR
5. Terminate the calibration mode by transmitting the CAL0 command.: CAL0
NOTE:
The IV offset calibration and the current measurement calibration do not
have to be performed consecutively. For example, when calibrating multiple
instruments, the IV offset calibration of all instruments can be performed
first, and then the current measurement calibration can be performed later.
7.6.1
IV Offset Calibration
1. Connect the instruments according to Figure 7-1 Connection Diagram for the IV
Offset Calibration.
2. Open the input and perform the zero calibration.
ZERO calibration: XIVC0
3. Connect the 1 k
resistor and perform the full-scale calibration.
FULL scale calibration: XIVC1
4. Induction noise may cause a calibration error.
Perform the calibration again if an error occurs.
5. When the calibration is complete, terminate the calibration mode by transmitting
the CAL0 command.
If performing the current measurement calibration consecutively, proceed to the
current measurement calibration without transmitting the CAL0 command.
7.6.2
Current Measurement Calibration
1. Connect the instruments according to Figure 7-2 Connection Diagram for the
Current Measurement Calibration.
2. Initialize all the calibration data.
All data initialization: XINI0
