8. Disconnect the power and load wires (14 AWG black and white wires) and the alarm wires

(24 AWG black wires) from the terminals on the rear side of the circuit breaker as shown
in 

Figure 19

. 

9. Connect the power and load wires to the specified terminals on the rear side of the

replacement circuit breaker (see 

Figure 19

). Note that with the circuit breaker oriented as

shown, the white load wire connects to the 

top

 terminal and the black power wire connects

to the 

bottom

 (LINE) terminal.
