DS3 Receive LOS condition

DS3 Receive Fail condition

DS3 Transmit Fail condition

five or more DS1 input faults

•

two or more DS2 out-of-frame faults

Major Alarm

A major alarm is generated if the HXU is
online and detects any of the following:

•

up to four DS1 faults

•

one DS2 out-of-frame fault

Minor Alarm

The HXU reports a minor alarm if it detects
any of the following:

•

A/B power supply fault

•

removal of the standby multiplexer

•

fault in standby multiplexer

•

configuration mismatch

•

software revision mismatch

•

too many protection switches between the
multiplexers

•

DS1 and DS3 terminal and facility
loopbacks

•

Standby card is offline.

Abnormal

The HXU reports an Abnormal alarm for the
following conditions:
