This
guide
covers
the
necessary
steps
to
view
an
SX
‐
460
Remotely
***Note:
This
guide
assumes
your
SX
‐
460
has
already
been
configured
for
remote
viewing,
and
is
working
properly
Requirements:
•
A
computer
with
internet
access
and
Internet
Explorer
6.0
or
Higher
•
The
serial
number
of
your
DVR
•
This
guide
assumes
you
have
already
completed
the
Internet
Explorer
Security
Setup
Guide
•
This
guide
assumes
your
SX
‐
460
is
up
and
running.
Setup:
1)
Open
up
Internet
Explorer
on
your
PC.
2)
Type
the
address
of
your
DVR
(either
a
domain
name
or
IP
address)
so
that
it
looks
like
this:
http://your
‐
dns
‐
name
‐
here:8000
or
http://69.24.118.12:8000
3)
You
may
notice
an
information
bar
at
the
top
of
internet
explorer
(below
the
address
bar)
Please
allow
all
Active
‐
X
controls
to
load
and
have
access
to
your
system
by
clicking
the
information
bar,
and
clicking
“Install”
or
“Allow”
4)
Once
the
Active
‐
X
control
has
been
installed,
you
may
need
to
refresh
the
page
by
pressing
the
“F5”
key
on
your
keyboard.
5)
Once
the
Active
‐
X
control
has
loaded,
Click
the
“Connect”
button
6)
A
dialog
box
will
pop
up,
click
the
“Extend
Config”
button.
7)
Fill
in
your
DVR
serial
number
for
“DVR
CODE”,
you
“User
ID”,
“User
PW”,
and
either
your
“SITE
IP”
or
your
“DOMAIN”
8)
Click
the
“Connect”
Button”
Congratulations!!!
You
are
now
remote
viewing
your
SX
‐
460
DVR!
