10. Explanation of settings in photo mode

Resolution of photos. By default the full sensor area
in 4:3 format with 12 megapixels will be saved.
If you prefer photos in 16:9 format, the photos will be
saved with 8.3 megapixels.
Definition of photo compression level. Standard setting is
S-fine for the best possible quality. The higher this
setting is, the more memory space is needed.
Enables the time-delayed recording of photos.
For example the setting "2 sec." is useful in situations
where the camera is hard to be hold stable during
shutter release - e.g. under water. Since there is usually
low light, the risk of blurry photos is high.
Takes photos at the set time interval, up until the shutter
button is pressed again. The time interval is not accurate
because the time for exposure measurement and storage
varies.
Takes the set numbers of photos in a short time frame.
Long Exposure

ISO
Allows long-term exposure at very dark lighting conditions.
Very long exposure times lead more image noise.
Attention: Only use with stable camera mount (e.g. on a tripod)
because otherwise photos become blurred.
Displays the date, time, or both in the photo.
Adjusts the ISO sensitivity. We recommend the default
setting "Auto". High values lead to more noise, but allow
shorter exposure times.
