5 Regular inspections and servicing
5.1 Intervals for inspections and servicing

Only backflow stops type 1 and type 2:
Monthly inspection performed by the owner or
his responsible representative: Open and close the emergency flap,
Section 4.1 "Activating the emergency flap".
■
Six-monthly inspection and servicing may only be performed by properly qualified
personnel,
Section 8 "Maintenance log".
■
Worn or damaged parts have to be replaced immediatley,
Section 6.2 "Spare parts".
5.2 Inspecting and cleaning the backflow unit
Dismantling housing cover with one or
two quick-locking-levers:
Î
Fold up the quick-locking-levers of the
housing cover (1, 2).
Î
Remove housing cover (3).
Dismantling housing cover with three
quick-locking-levers:
Î
Fold up the quick-locking-levers of the
housing cover in a vertical position.
Î
Push the outer quick-locking-levers to the
middle until the housing cover lifts.
Î
Remove housing cover.

Remove the insertion part and backflow
flap(s) from the housing.

1 backflow flap combined with a
hand-locking emergency flap

Double backflow stop (type 2):
2 backflow flaps, one backflow
flap combined with a hand-locking
