2 For your safety
Please read the safety notes in this chapter prior to using the automatic antiflood
protection system. Severe damages may occur in the case of misuse.
If owner or user of plant changes, documents have to be handed on.
2.1 Proper use
2.1.1 Field of application
The automatic antiflood protection system safeguards drain points below the backflow
level against backflow from the sewers.
The following criteria are prerequisites for the installation:

Intended only for safeguard of drainage objects below the backflow level

Drainage object has an incline to sewers
Q
The use of the drain point must be dispensed with in case of backflow
Q
The rooms to be safeguarded must be intended for inferior use only
Q
In case of a flood, there is no health hazard for the residents
Q
Important material assets are not at risk in the case of flood
Q
There must only be a small number of users for whom a WC must be available above
the backflow level
Different use and application options as well as alterations are prohibited.
The owner is responsible for planning, installation and operation of the automatic
antiflood protection system,
