Commissioning and operation
7.3 Operation
This chapter contains information on current operation of the product.
CAUTION The automatic antiflood protection system may only be operated in accor-
dance with its intended use,

The automatic antiflood protection system works automatically. Works required during
operation are limited to:

Monthly check by the user ( chapter 8.3.1, 8.3.2)
Q
Other inspections are limited to maintenance works ( chapter 8.4)
7.3.1 Automatic self-test
In order to prevent seizing of the drive, an automatic self-test is carried out automati-
cally every 4 weeks. The operating seal is closed and opened again for some seconds.
This is first carried out after approx. 5 min. following commissioning. In case of
malfunctions, a visual and audible signal is released (
chapter 9.2)
7.3.2 Notes on operation during backflow
During backflow phase:

the connected drainage objects may not be used,
Q
a reference run via the operating elements of the control (basic position operating
seal) is not possible,
Q
opening the operating seal via the operating elements of the control is not possible.
