Shared Quota Management

A shared quota management system is available to place manageable
restrictions on storage used by users. The administrator can specify the
user quota (size unit is MB) when creating a CIFS user and limits how
much space is allocated to this new user on every shared folder
respectively.

To access the shared quota management feature:

Log in to the IPStor Express Manager. Refer to “Log in to the IPStor
Express Manager” on page 41.

In the navigation bar, click Shared Folders.
The Shared Folders screen displays a list of shared folders along
with the size and usage percentages.

In the left pane, click Shared Quota Management.
The Shared Folders: Shared Quota Management

screen displays.

Select the shared folder for which you want to assign a quota and
click the Assign Quota button.
A screen displays allowing you to enable a quota on the shared
folder.

5

Click the “Enable quota management” checkbox and set the quota
size for any of the users listed.
