Layout, Function and Mode of Operation
When operating the PB300 Li-Ion, three operating modes are possible:
Operating Mode 1: Operation (Normal Operation)
Operating Mode 2: Charging
Operating Mode 3: Operation and Charging
21.1 Operating Mode 1: Operation (Normal Operation)
The PB300 Li-Ion makes it possible for you to connect consumers to protected 24 V DC - direct voltage -
(optionally available) or 230 V AC - alternating voltage. The 24 V DC is generated by a DC/DC converter and
made available by a converter located on the front of the PB300 Li-Ion. The built-in DC/AC converter
converts the 12 V DC - direct voltage - into a 230 V AC/50 Hz sine alternating voltage.

Pressing the On/Off switch on the front (switch light comes on) turns on the voltage
(24 V DC (optional) and 230 V AC) and the PB300 Li-Ion is ready for use.
Next use the display of the built-in battery controller to check the current remaining capacity of the battery.
Note that the maximum load capacity must not be exceeded. Otherwise the internal fuse will be
triggered. Refer to the technical data for the relevant values.
Set up the PB300 Li-Ion during operation so that the ventilation grilles on the front and back remain
free.
