3.2 Infrared Verification
The LED440 allows the user to verify the Infrared (IR) pattern hidden on
bills or documents which can be visualized only using an IR camera. The
screen will show the image of the bill seen with the “photosensitive ink”
effect, allowing the user to identify easily if the bill is genuine or fake.
The “Dual Band” technology is used to analyze the bill deeper using two
different IR wavelengths for its “photosensitive ink” analysis.
Press “IR” (1st time): Single-band (A) analysis (940nm wavelength).
Press “IR” (2nd time): Single-band (B) analysis (850nm wavelength).
Press “IR” (3rd time): Dual-band (A & B) analysis, the image switches
automatically.
Place the bill or document to analyze on the WM verification window then
press the “IR” button to activate the IR camera. The Infrared image will be
shown on the screen allowing the user to verify its IR pattern. The camera
will be turned OFF automatically after 30 sec.
NOTE:
To make an accurate judgment of the bill, the user must be familiar
with the Infrared pattern of the bill that is being analyzed. The next page
shows some IR pattern image examples for the USD and CAD bills to be
used as a reference.
