F87/F88: setting the wire feed characteristic
If the wire liner in the Wire Buffer KINETIC has an S-shape or extends linearly in the start parameter and
main parameter/end crater parameter for the mX Kinetic welding procedure, this function can be used to
improve it. The positive (+) side can eliminate wire liner adhesion and, in some cases, stabilize the weld. The
negative (−) side can eliminate liner stretching and, in some cases, stabilize the weld.
F89: setting the wire creep
Set the feed start time for the mX Kinetic welding procedure. The positive (+) side extends the wire speed
ramp. This softens the transition to the wire feed speed in the main current but may cause the seam width to
narrow at the start position. The negative (−) side shortens the feed start period, which prevents the seam
width from narrowing at the start position, but the welding wire protrudes excessively, reducing the
suppression of spatter generation.
F90: setting the backburn retraction quantity
Adjust the protruding length after backburn during the mX Kinetic welding procedure. The positive (+) side
lengthens the free welding wire end after backburn. The negative (−) side shortens the protruding length.
