F60: Fine adjustment of the pulse peak current
This function allows for the fine adjustment of the standard pulse peak current. In addition, the pulse
parameter for the iArc mX Move DC welding procedure can also be finely adjusted on the “high” side.
The pulse parameter set (pulse peak current, pulse peak time and base current) must be adjusted
appropriately for the welding procedure or wire welding wire diameter. Adjustments to the pulse parameter
set can be made using the internal functions F60 to F65.
Fine adjustment of the display value/absolute value display of the pulse parameter set:
When making settings with the internal functions F60 to F65, pressing the <Parameter selection> button
allows the user to switch between the fine-adjustment value and the absolute value. The <Parameter
selection> button’s LED indicates which value is currently displayed.
When the LED is off, the fine-adjusted value is displayed. (The adjusted value is displayed in the left digital
display.)
When the LED is on, the absolute value is displayed. (The value adjusted from the standard value is
displayed in the left digital display.)
For optimal fine adjustment:
To optimally adjust the pulse parameter set, the pulse peak time must first be adjusted. If large beads form
and an unstable arc occurs (bead transfer), the pulse peak time must be increased. If the welding wire tip
becomes too sharp and a very strong arc occurs, the pulse peak time must be shortened. To make further
improvements, the pulse peak current must be adjusted in the same way as the pulse peak time.
The maximum pulse peak current that can be output depends on the type (capacity) of the welding power
source or arc load. If the fine-adjusted pulse peak current exceeds the maximum pulse peak current, the
pulse peak current is not output.
F61: Fine adjustment of the pulse peak time
This function allows the user to adjust the standard pulse peak time. In addition, the pulse parameter for the
iArc mX Move DC welding procedure can also be finely adjusted on the “high” side.
F62: Fine adjustment of the base current
This function allows the user to adjust the base current.
F63: Fine adjustment of the pulse peak current in the low pulse phase
This function allows for the fine adjustment of the standard pulse peak current in the iArc mX Move DC
welding procedure on the “low” side.
