Checking and cleaning the grounding bars and points
￭ Materials
• Steel wool
• Ensto SR1 joint compound (or similar)
• 42839 Würth Protective Wax Spray (or similar).
￭ Procedure
WARNING!
Follow the steps given in section Safety instructions for the inverter
compartment (page 11) . Ignoring the instructions can cause physical injury or
death, or damage to the equipment.
1. Check the condition of grounding bar and grounding cables in the inverter station. If
there is visible corrosion, remove the cables and remove the corrosion with steel wool.
Apply joint compound between the grounding bar and cable terminal joint surfaces.
2. Change the spring lock washers. Tighten the cables to the nominal torque values (torque
for a M12 bolt is 50 Nm).
Note:
Check the main earthing bar in the MV substation as well to ensure a proper earthing grid.
Follow instructions and guidelines from the supplier of the MV substation.
