17.1

General Disclaimer

The manufacturer shall have no obligation with respect to any product which (i) has been improperly repaired or

altered; (ii) has been subjected to misuse, negligence, or accident; (iii) has been used in a manner contrary to the

manufacturer’s instructions; (iv) has failed as a r

esult of ordinary wear and tear, or (v) has not been serviced and

maintained as per the manufacturers maintenance schedule and associated procedures.

17.2

Recycling Information

The main parts of the product can be recycled to preserve natural resources and energy.

Product parts and materials should be dismantled and separated.

Generally, all metals such as steel, aluminum, copper and its alloys, and precious metals can be recycled as

material. Plastics, rubber, cardboard, and other packaging material can be used in energy recovery. Printed circuit

boards and DC capacitors need selective treatment according to IEC 62635 guidelines. To aid recycling, plastic

parts are marked with an appropriate identification code.

Contact your local ABB distributor for further information on environmental aspects and recycling instructions for

professional recyclers. End of life treatment must follow international and local regulations.

Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Information

(WEEE)

The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol on the product(s) and / or accompanying documents means that used

electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) should not be mixed with general household waste.

If you wish to discard electrical and electronic equipment (EEE), please contact your dealer or supplier for further

information.

Disposing of this product correctly will help save valuable resources and prevent any potential negative effects on

human health and the environment, which could otherwise arise from inappropriate waste handling.

function is an interface between Vcan and the GDM.
