3.8 Software installation

3.8.1 Starting the system for the first time

General

An IRBP function package delivered by ABB has a customized configuration
installed at delivery. The system is preconfigured and will start up with the options
and settings that were ordered.

In some cases it might be necessary to reload the software, for example when the
RobotWare software needs to be upgraded, or when the configuration needs to
be changed, see

Upgrading the software on page 143
