LASER ANALYZERS | OI/AO2000-LS25-EN REV. D
5
Intended use
Laser analyzer module LS25 is designed for the continuous
measurement of the concentration of individual components in a
gas mix.
The LS25 laser analyzer module is part of the AO2000 integrated
analyzer system and cannot be operated as a single device.
The operating instructions of the AO2000 must be observed.
OI/AO2000-EN
Any other use is not approved.
The intended use also includes taking note of this operating
instruction.
Important safety instructions
In accordance with the EU Directive 2014/34/EU and the general
requirements for explosion protection and as specified in the
IEC 60079-0 standard, the scope of approvals for our explosion-
protected apparatus is limited to
atmospheric conditions
,
unless expressly stated otherwise in the certificates.
This also includes the sample gas that is fed in.
Definition of atmospheric conditions
Temperature
−
20 to 60 °C
Pressure p
abs
80 to 110 kPa (0.8 to 1.1 bar)
Ambient air with standard oxygen content, typically 21% vol.%
If the
atmospheric conditions are not complied with
, the
operator is obliged to guarantee the safe operation of our
devices in the absence of the recommended atmospheric
conditions, by means of further measures (e.g. evaluation of the
gas mixture or explosion pressure) and / or supplementary
protective devices.

Note
The specified data are based on a 1 m optical path length, 25 °C
sample gas temperature and a sample gas pressure of 1 barA,
sample gas in nitrogen with a confidence level of 95%,
deviations from this are possible depending on the process.
Number of measuring ranges
1 range per sample component, 1 x transmission
Largest measuring range
Largest measuring range is generally 100 times the minimum
measuring range for the same conditions. Larger measuring
ranges are possible, for example by adjusting the optical
path length or choosing a different absorption line, please
contact ABB in this regard.
