78 Standard programposi features

Note:

Post-magnetization is only available when ramping is the selected stop mode

(see parameter

Continuous magnetization

A digital signal, such as a user bit in the fieldbus control word, can be selected to
activate continuous magnetization. This can be especially useful in processes
requiring motors to be stopped (for example, to stand by until new material is
processed), then quickly started without magnetizing them first.

Note:

Continuous magnetization is only available in speed control in DTC motor

control mode (see page

), and only when ramping is the selected stop mode (see

parameter

WARNING:

The motor must be designed to absorb or dissipate the thermal

energy generated by continuous magnetization, for example by forced
ventilation.

Motor potentiometer

The motor potentiometer is, in effect, a counter whose value can be adjusted up and
down using two digital signals selected by parameters

Motor potentiometer up

Motor potentiometer down source

. Note that these signals have no

effect when the drive is stopped.
