Additional mounting information
• If it is not possible to mount the sensors with glued mounting pads, use
alternate mounting techniques. For instructions, contact ABB.
• Make sure the point of measurement and sensors are located close to each
other and have minimal interfaces to avoid any loss of energy due to
high-frequency oscillations in the face of the interface.
• Mount the sensors close to the bearing and pointing towards the shaft center
line.
• Select the closest possible measurement points because vibration of rotating
equipment is transferred to the bearings through the body.
• Select correct mounting points to allow sufficient space for installing or
replacing sensors.
