down. If possible, keep one hand on the
ladder while carrying out the task, if not
take other safety measures.
Consult the manual/instructions.
Avoid any task exercising lateral load on
the ladder, for example drilling, on the
side of hard materials.
Examine the ladder after delivery. Before each
use, check that the ladder is not damaged and
that it can be used in total safety.
Do not us a damaged ladder.
Do not carry heavy materials or those
difficult to handle while using a ladder.

Prevent any damage to the ladder during transport, for example by
attaching it, ensuring it is placed appropriately to avoid any damage.
When setting up the ladder, take into account the risks of
collision, for example of pedestrians, vehicles or doors. Secure
doors (but not emergency exits) and windows on the site, as
much as possible.
Ensure that the ladder is adapted to the task.
Do not use a dirty ladder for example dirtied by fresh paint, mud, oil
or snow.
Do not use the ladder outside when weather conditions are
unfavourable, for example in high winds.
