16.4
C-language Application Programming Interface
A C-language Application Programming Interface (API) is provided for the EtherSpaceLink family of
products, including the DSI. Details of the API are covered in a separate document “C-language
Application Programming Interface”.
16.5
Waveform Handling
Blocks of waveform data are embedded in the EtherSpaceLink protocol stream at the points where events were
detected by the DSI.
When the
SpWIO
program is run, a pop-up graphical window will show each waveform as it is encountered. This
window shows the time-tag of the event that triggered the waveform capture, an indication of the type of event,
and the time scale of the recording.
The time-scale of a displayed event waveformmay be adjusted using a pull-down menu.
The waveform may by saved to a file (with the default extension
.swf
- SpaceWire WaveForm, not ShockWave
Flash®) using the button provided.
Saved waveforms may be viewed using the supplied
waveform.jar
program:
java -jar waveform.jar <waveform-file-name>
