3M™ V-Series Air Control Valves
Maintenance
Next, let’s look at the replacement parts for the continuous flow supplied air
respirator system. A complete assembly consists of the following components:
-
An L-Series Headgear
-
An L-122 Breathing Tube
-
A high pressure air regulating valve or low pressure connector
with belt.
-
A high pressure or low pressure supplied air hose with fittings.
The L-122 is the Breathing Tube.
The entire breathing tube should be replaced
if it develops a leak, tear or becomes damaged.
The W-2963 is the Waist Belt.
The entire belt should be replaced when it
becomes damaged.
There are 4 different air control valves approved for use with the L-Series
Headgear:
-
3M™ Vortex Cooling Assembly V-100
-
3M™ Vortemp™ Heating Assembly V-200
-
3M™ Air Regulating Valve Assembly V-300
Intended for high pressure applications, ranging from 25 to 90 psi.
-
3M™ Low Pressure Connector Assembly V-400
Intended for low pressure applications, ranging from 6 to 15 psi.
These air regulating valves have no moving parts except the control valve, so
there is little to wear out or maintain. If proper filtration of compressed air is
maintained, the muffler will stay clean and maintain its acoustic efficiency. The
following spare parts kits are available to overhaul and maintain the air regulating
valves.
