INSPECTION:
To ensure safe, efficient operation, the Cabloc/Cabloc Pro System should be inspected per the instructions
in Table 1 at the indicated frequencies.
;
Record the inspection results in “Periodic Examination and Repair History.”
DEFECTS:
If inspection or operation reveals a defective/damaged condition, remove and replace the defective/damaged
component(s).
6.0 MAINTENANCE & SERVICE:
Guidelines for maintenance and service are as follows:
•
The Cabloc/Cabloc Pro System is easily soiled by oil, grease, paint or other substances. Cleans it with a soft brush,
warm water and a mild detergent. Ensure the parts are thoroughly rinsed with plenty of clean water. Although highly
resistant to chemicals and environmental conditions, take all precautions to avoid contaminating the system with
acids, bitumen, cement, chloride, paint or aggressive cleaning fluids.
•
Stainless Steel parts are particularly susceptible to pitting corrosion from chlorine, so avoid exposure in this type
of environment. If the system is likely to be contaminated, please contact your 3M Certified Installer or 3M Fall
Protection for advice.
•
In areas where ice formation is possible, the System should be cleared of ice. When not in use, the Sleeve should be
stored per the following Storage recommendations.
STORAGE:
Store the Cabloc Sleeve and Cabloc Pro in a clean, dry, warm environment. Avoid areas where chemical
vapors may exist. Thoroughly inspect the Sleeve after extended storage. Clean and store body support and associated
system components according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
