5-3-1. How to Disassemble the Optical/Lamp

Assembly

Unplug projector power cord before performing
any maintenance to electrical components.

1. Unplug the projector from the outlet.

2. From the projector bottom, unscrew retaining

screws securing optical/ lamp assembly.

3. From the outside of the projector, pry off the color

tuning knob. Figure 5-14.

4. Open top cover.

5. Unscrew two retaining screws securing lamp

control module bracket. Figure 5-13.

6. Disconnect lamp assembly wires from the lamp

7. Remove the e-ring and unhook the secondary

lamp changer rod. Figure 5-14.

8. Lift the lamp/optical assembly straight up to

remove it from the projector body.

9. Reassemble in reverse order.

Note

When reassembling, remember to insert the
thermal insulator then the heat shield.
