Drain valve: This 2" drain pipe is used to drain material out of the vat.
11
Brake: There are brakes on the two wheels at this end of the vat. They are labeled "ON/OFF" to indicate which way to
push the lever to release or engage the brake. Engage the brake any time the vat is to stay stationary.
12
Swivel lock: Locks the back two casters for easier insertion and removal of the vat into and out of the printer.
There are two operating modes for the SLA Vat:
Print Mode
In this mode, the vat is online and connected to the SLA 750 which provides the Vats power and Input/Output functionality.
The SLA 750 monitors and controls the material temperature while connected with the active vat. When the vat is online, it can
pump and recirculate material. The suitable material temperature for printing is 28 °C (+/- 3 °C).
Stand-by Mode
In this mode, the vat is offline and operates independently from the SLA 750. When the vat is plugged into a standard wall
socket the module self-regulates the temperature keeping it stable and at operating temperature. The material can warm
effectively in this mode, enabling users to swap vats and get printing right away. There is no down time to allow the material to
come up to operational temperature in the machine.
To put the vat in stand-by mode, plug it into a wall outlet with a standard power cord and turn the vat power switch on. The vat
will heat the material.
Note: We recommend only heating the material up to 24 hours prior to use . Constantly heating the material
when not in use will prematurely age the material.
Optional Resin Mixer
If you run certain materials, you will need a resin mixer for the vat. Please see
for more information.
