– Removes jitter coming into the

CoreBuilder 5000 hub.

To install a TR NMC on a CoreBuilder 5000 Token Ring Media Module
(

Figure 3-3

Match the TR NMC

50-pin connector to the corresponding connector

on the host

CoreBuilder 5000 Token Ring Media Module

Make sure

that the screws align with the holes on the standoffs on the media
module.

Seat the NMC connector onto the media module connector.

Secure the NMC to the media module. Tighten the screws down into
the standoffs opposite the connector shown in

Figure 3-3

. Do not

over-tighten the screws.

Figure 3-3

illustrates the location of Network Monitor Cards. The

location of the Token Ring Monitor Card is relative to the position of
the TR NMC 50-pin connector on the Token Ring Module.
